The short version

This policy covers two very different things. RealWeirdWorld.com is our online store — if you buy something, we collect what we need to charge you and ship to you. BackCheckers is our free iOS app, and it collects nothing at all: no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Everything it saves stays on your device.

 

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the RealWeirdWorld.com website and online store, and to the BackCheckers mobile application for iOS. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Real Weird World LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

By using our website or our app, you agree to the practices described here.


2. The BackCheckers App New section

BackCheckers is free and collects no personal information.

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, sign-in, username, or password. We have no way to identify you and do not try to.

  • No collection or transmission. We do not collect, receive, transmit, or store any personal information from the app. We operate no servers for it.

  • On-device data only. The app saves the following on your device: team and player names you type in, logged game results and box scores, gameplay statistics, and your settings and preferences. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share it, as described below.

  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking. The app contains no advertising, no analytics software, and no third-party tracking tools. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.

  • No device permissions. The app does not request or use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.

  • Sharing a logged game. The app can export a single logged game as a small .bcgame file that you send yourself using Apple's standard iOS share sheet — AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files, or similar. That file contains only the team names and game statistics you entered. It travels directly from your device to the person you send it to. It does not pass through us, and we never receive a copy.

  • Deleting your data. Use the reset option inside the app, or delete the app from your device. Either one removes the information the app has stored.

  • Children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

  • Apple. Apple may collect its own information when you download or use an app from the App Store — for example, download and purchase records or crash reports. That information is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.


3. Information We Collect Through the Website

A. Information you provide

  • Full name

  • Billing address

  • Shipping address

  • Email address

  • Phone number, if you provide one

  • Order details

  • Messages you send through our contact forms

B. Payment information

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, and never have access to, your full payment card number. That information is encrypted and handled directly by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy.

C. Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, the site that referred you, and information gathered through cookies and similar technologies.


4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described in Section 3 to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders

  • Ship products to you

  • Provide customer service and respond to your inquiries

  • Send order confirmations and shipping updates

  • Prevent fraud and keep payments secure

  • Improve our website and our business operations

  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.


5. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to run our business, with:

  • Our payment processor (Stripe)

  • Shipping carriers, such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx

  • Our website hosting provider

  • Our email service provider

  • Legal authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights

Each of these receives only the information necessary to perform its service.

We share nothing from the BackCheckers app, because we receive nothing from it.


6. How Information Is Transmitted

Information sent to and from our website is transmitted using encryption in transit (SSL/TLS). Payment information is processed through Stripe's encrypted systems. Access to customer information is limited to authorized personnel.


7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption, secure hosting, restricted access to sensitive data, and reliance on established third-party payment processors.

No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. We cannot promise absolute security, but we will notify affected customers as required by law if a breach of their personal information occurs.


8. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enable site functionality, analyze traffic, and improve the browsing experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work properly if you do.

The BackCheckers app does not use cookies.


9. Data Retention

We keep customer information only as long as needed to complete transactions, handle returns and support requests, maintain business and financial records, and comply with tax and other legal obligations. Contact-form messages are kept until they are no longer needed. We retain nothing from the app, because we never receive it.


10. Children's Privacy

Our online store is intended for adults making purchases, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

The BackCheckers app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from any user, including children.

If you believe a child has provided us personal information through our website, contact us at rk@realweirdworld.com and we will remove it.


11. Your Rights

You may ask us to give you access to, correct, delete, or provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to stop sending you marketing. To make a request, email rk@realweirdworld.com.

  • Requests are free.

  • We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need additional time.

  • We may need to verify your identity first, usually by confirming details of an order you placed.

  • We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser experience because you exercised these rights.

  • If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will reconsider it.

There is nothing to request regarding the BackCheckers app. We never receive its data, so we hold none of it — you control that information entirely on your own device.

Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact address above.


12. Where We Operate New section

We are located in the United States. All information we collect is processed and stored in the United States.

We currently ship only within the United States and do not offer international shipping. If you visit our website from outside the United States, information collected during your visit will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your own country.

If you are outside the United States and would like us to delete information collected during your visit, email us at rk@realweirdworld.com and we will do so.


13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
